For some time, Leo has expressed his converns for the environment, wildlife and endangered species. On November 17th, 1999, it was announced that Leonardo would be the chairman of Earth Day 2000. It is an honor for him to be a part of this event, one that he is obviously very passionate about. Check here for more news about the event, Leo's role in it, and additional information on some of the issues he speaks about. The earth is ours, so it is indeed our responsibility to look after it. After all, any little thing we do to help the environment will help preserve the earth for generations to come. Thanks to Leo for doing his part in this effort, and to dedicating his time to benefit others.
